This position has a home-based office in the Metro Detroit area and requires some on-site work at our Berkley, MI office.
This is a part-time position: 24 hours per week | Full benefits included
What You’ll Do
As an Accounting Specialist, you’ll apply established accounting practices and company procedures to support day‑to‑day financial operations, including:
- Perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing functions
- Assist with gathering and consolidating financial data for accurate reporting
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal team members on accounting‑related projects
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and help implement solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls
- Handle financial information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Demonstrate and embrace the company’s guiding principles in your daily work
This role involves semi‑routine work with established procedures and offers guidance and support as you take on new assignments.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or education performing accounting functions (A/P, A/R, billing, or reconciliations)
- Comfortable working with financial data and established processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team‑based projects
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently within a part‑time schedule
